Jill Franken – Community Triage Center

Too often individuals in crisis with mental health and/or substance use disorder (SUD) cycle in and out of jail or our local hospital emergency departments. Rotarian Jill Franken, Public Health Director for the City of Sioux Falls will discuss how establishing a Community Triage Center will provide persons with mental health and SUD challenges with a safe and therapeutic place, away from jails and emergency departments, where they can be assessed, stabilized, and referred to services to help their mental health and/or SUD issues.

Networking and lunch from 11:30 am - noon with the program beginning at noon. Lunch costs $15, payable at the door. Programs are open to Rotarians and their guests. All programs are recorded and Facebook Live Streamed. Local media are invited to attend to record the session.

Rotary International is one of the premier service organizations in the world. The Rotary Club of Downtown Sioux Falls is among the largest 40 clubs in the world.
