94th Legislative Wrap-Up

Debra Owen, Director of Public Policy for the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce will be updating the club on key business related legislation and how those bills fared, give us the inside scoop on the bill that would have offered driver’s license exams in
Spanish, and explain the bill that united East and West River.  This will be an important update as many of the bills passed will take effect on July 1st or sooner.

Networking and lunch from 11:30 am - noon with the program beginning at noon. Lunch costs $15, payable at the door. All programs are recorded and Facebook Live Streamed. Local media are invited to attend to record the session.

Speaker Bio:
Debra Owen, has worked in advocacy for more than 20 years. She has served as a lead lobbyist for the Chamber, the hospital association, and the State of South Dakota Bureau of Human Resources. She is a licensed attorney and graduate of South Dakota School of Law.
She received her undergrad from Augustana University with a B.A. in Business Administration. She is married to David Owen and they have two sons.
