Digital Inclusion in Sioux Falls

According to survey data, roughly 10% of Sioux Falls households lack an internet subscription. In order to address this challenge, the City of Sioux Falls, in partnership with Midco, in 2020 founded the Inclusivity Digital Equity (IDEA) Task Force. This effort transformed into Connect Sioux Falls, an alliance of community stakeholders seeking to address gaps in digital equity in our community. Rotarian Andrew Curley will moderate a discussion with fellow Connect Sioux Falls Co-Chair Heather Krause and Siouxland Libraries Director Jodi Fick centered on the what, why, and who is behind this effort.

The buffet lunch will be available beginning at 11:30 am. The menu will be: Meat Lasagna, Cavatappi Pasta with Alfredo & Marinara Sauce, sliced Chicken Breast, Roasted Veggies, Tossed Salad & Dessert. RSVP is not required.

The presentation, at the club’s regular weekly meeting, will be held at the Holiday Inn City Centre, Sioux Falls and will begin at noon. All Downtown Sioux Falls Rotary Club programs are open only to Rotarians and their guests. All programs are recorded and streamed live on Facebook & YouTube. Local media are invited to attend to record the session.
