Rack & Roll: Bike Rack Installation & Celebration

Join Downtown Sioux Falls Rotary for a fun and active morning on May 3rd, as we celebrate the installation of 13 new bike racks across four key locations in the city: Rotary Park, Start-up Sioux Falls, Fawick Park, and Falls Overlook Café. The event runs from 9 a.m. to noon, offering participants a unique opportunity to explore the city, snap a photo with each new bike rack, and earn rewards along the way.

Cyclists and walkers are invited to visit all four locations, where they’ll receive a punch on their card for each stop. Those who complete the challenge by collecting four punches will be able to redeem their card for a delicious treat – either a cookie at Mountain Mary’s Cookies or a cold beer at Severance Brewing.

These bike racks were made possible through a generous District grant, with a matching contribution from the Downtown Sioux Falls Rotary Club. The racks proudly display the "Sioux Falls Rotary" name, emphasizing the collaborative efforts of all Rotary clubs in the city.

"We’re excited to bring the community together and celebrate the installation of these bike racks that will encourage more biking in our city," said Eric Erickson, Event Coordinator. "This event is not only a great way to promote biking, but also to highlight the service and teamwork among Rotarians in Sioux Falls."

Rotary clubs from across the city are invited to participate, making this a great opportunity to connect, enjoy the outdoors, and support a shared cause. The event is open to the public and is family friendly.
