Why did you join Rotary Club of Downtown Sioux Falls?
I joined Rotary Club of Downtown Sioux Falls to become move involved with volunteerism and connect with other likeminded professionals in our great community. Rotary Club of Downtown Sioux Falls has a long, incredible reputation of involvement, volunteerism and fundraising in Sioux Falls and I knew it was so important to be a small part of that history.
How has joining Rotary helped you develop/grow in your career? (OR if you are a new member, what are you looking forward to most?)
Rotary has helped me meet so many new people and provide significant volunteer opportunities for worthy causes in our community.
Are you on any Rotary committees? If so, explain the value you have gotten from joining a committee.
I am the incoming chair of the Logistics Committee.
What other clubs/boards/nonprofits are you involved with?
I serve on the board of directors for the Furniture Mission of SD and Employment Disability Resources, and serve on the Executive Leadership Committee for the SD, ND, MN chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I also volunteer with the Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce and have joined the Sioux Empire United Way Fundraising Committee as Loaned Executive for this year’s campaign. I am the President of a BNI chapter and a member of Sales & Marketing Executives, DTSF, and the American Advertising Federation- South Dakota.
What would you tell someone that is considering joining Rotary Club of Downtown Sioux Falls?
I would encourage anyone interested in joining Rotary to attend a meeting to see for themselves how valuable the connections and programming are to plugging into our community. Being a relatively new member I have already seen positive impacts on my business and personal life and look forward to being a Rotarian for years to come.
