Lessons in Appreciating Cultural Diversity from the Teacher of the Year

On Monday, April 12th, Rotarian Dr. Jane Stavem will moderate a conversation with Dr. Ann Robertson, the Dr. John Harris Teacher of the Year Award recipient for the Sioux Falls School District, SFSD School Board Member Kate Parker as well as Kara Gary and Gwen White who are students at Washington High School. They will discuss Dr. Robertson’s selection as Teacher of the Year, the specific lessons in cultural appreciation she teaches in her classroom and how the greater community can learn more to embrace the Native American culture.
